Pre-K

Our preschool team’s mission is a deep commitment to reaching every child. We believe that every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated from the very start of their educational journey.

Our goal? To kick off their school career with a sense of joy, wonder, and curiosity! Through playful learning, warm connections, and engaging experiences, we create a space where young learners feel safe to explore, confident to try, and excited to grow.

Because for us, it’s not just about school readiness — it’s about building a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Let the adventure begin!

I am a dedicated pre-kindergarten teacher in a reverse inclusion classroom, where I have the privilege of working with children of all abilities and backgrounds. I truly love what I do and take great joy in helping each of my students grow, learn, and discover their unique strengths. Every day brings new opportunities to encourage curiosity, build confidence, and celebrate progress—big and small. My passion for teaching comes from seeing the spark of understanding in my students’ eyes and knowing that I am helping to lay the foundation for their future success.

I am starting year 24 of teaching Special Education and my 6th year of PreK Reverse Inclusion.  I have taught at Sunbright, Oakdale, Central Middle twice, and Knox County.  I am now in my favorite position!  I love working with the littles and watching how they grow.  I have a dog named Rasha that was a rescue.

I have over 13 years of experience in early childhood and elementary education, including the past three years as a preschool teacher for Central Elementary School.. Prior to that, I spent eight years teaching preschool with the Head Start program and two years as a first-grade teacher. In addition to my teaching role, I serve as the school’s therapy dog handler, combining my love of animals with my passion for helping children thrive. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and training the therapy dogs.

For the past 14 years, I've been working with children in Tennessee, helping to support their growth and development. I'm also a proud parent of two wonderful children. In my free time, I enjoy reading and finding new books to get lost in.
