3rd Grade
Our third-grade team brings energy, creativity, and a love for learning into the classroom each day. Together, we create a warm and engaging environment where students feel supported to take risks, grow, and shine. With a mix of fun, curiosity, and high expectations, we work hard to make sure every child feels valued and successful. Whether we are diving into a good book, exploring new math strategies, or sparking curiosity in science, we are dedicated to helping students build confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Hi! My name is Erica Beene. I love teaching third grade because it is a magical time when kids are transitioning into the intermediate grades and becoming "big kids" at CES. They gain independence as they start to discover new ideas and ways of thinking about the world around them. Watching students become confident problem solvers inspires me every day!
Baseball mom through and through, most evenings and weekends are spent at the ballfield, cheering loud and proud. When I'm not in the stands, you'll find me curled up with a good book, baking something sweet, enjoying nature, or watching the Vols play. Faith and family are at the heart of everything I do.
I am a 3rd-grade teacher at CES. I strive to create a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive academically and socially. My goal is to help each child develop a love of learning, confidence in their abilities, and respect for themselves and others. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my two boys. It's a circus most of the time, but we thrive on the chaos!
Hello! I’m Ms. Kim and I’m beginning my 22nd year at CES. I love creating a classroom where learning feels like an adventure and every student feels valued. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me with a good book, traveling, or spending time with loved ones. My favorite part about teaching third grade is watching my students grow into curious, confident, and kind learners.
My name is Mrs. Courtney. I am a third-grade teacher here at CES. I have 4 kids of my own. I love teaching and sparking curiosity in my students. I believe all students are capable of learning and growth in the classroom and in life. STEM is one of my educational passions, and I love encouraging students to explore educational concepts in many different ways.
When not at school, I often attend student ball games at the boys and girls club with my own kids. I also love camping and nature photography.
