Therapies

Our PreK–4th grade students have access to essential support services, including Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), and Physical Therapy (PT), all designed to help them fully access their education. These therapies are provided based on individualized education programs (IEPs) to support students’ academic, physical, and social growth.

  • Occupational Therapy (OT) ✍️: Assists students with the fine motor skills needed for classroom tasks (like handwriting, cutting, and manipulating small objects), self-care activities (like managing clothing), and sensory processing to help them focus and participate effectively in the learning environment.

  • Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) 🗣️: Addresses a wide range of communication needs, including improving articulation (making speech sounds), language comprehension (understanding what is said), expressive language (using words and sentences), social communication skills, and fluency (stuttering).

  • Physical Therapy (PT) 🤸: Focuses on developing gross motor skills, mobility, balance, and posture to ensure students can safely and confidently move through the school environment, participate in physical activities, and maintain appropriate seating throughout the school day.
